Description

Brookhaven’s only public transit stop. The Timber-Penny Bus Stop is two thirds of the way down Bohr street. The rest stop has few amenities, but among them are: Two small vending machines (one that sells candy and microwaveable meals and another that sells sodas and bottled water), A microwave with an interior caked in old food, Two rusted and limp streamed water fountains, and lastly men and women’s restrooms. The men’s restroom sign has been vandalized and has a laminated paper sign on it labeling it as single stall all-gender restroom. The women’s restroom has yellow caution tape hastily tossed over the door frame, and stenciled onto the old wood door is an ‘under construction’ sign. Vents underneath the standing area of the rest stop continuously blow a warm and putrid smelling steam. Vagrants and vagabonds occasionally lie to rest on top of these vents, much to the discomfort of any traveler hoping to get out of the infrequent but intense Brookhaven rain.

Travelers and Vagrants in these areas both claim to have seen large numbers of Kulva members leaving the women’s restroom but a full police investigation into the area turned up nothing.
